Adam Copeland is All Elite

WWE Hall of Famer fka Edge, now using his real name Adam Copeland, is the newest signee to AEW. Copeland debuted at WrestleDream in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday evening following the main event, where Christian Cage defeated Darby Allin in a two out of three falls match to retain the TNT title.

Christian, Luchasaurs, and Nick Wayne, who turned on Allin, laid out Allin and Sting. Christian was about to deliver a conchairto to Sting when the lights went out, and a Grindhouse video played of a man in a leather jacket driving down the highway and over the words “Rated R Superstar” as fireworks emerged from a nearby stadium.

The familiar “You think you know me” followed by the iconic Alter Bridge song ‘Metalingus’ blasted from the speakers as Copeland emerged and did his WWE entrance and pyro deal on the way to the ring.

‘All Out’ Goes All Out!

Wrestling relies on the build from one show to the next. It gets the masses interested in the drama surrounding an angle and the main event matches.

The uninspired booking over the last several weeks suggested AEW was so concerned with the 81,035 fans that packed Wembley Stadium that they forgot about the 9,495 fans in the United Center.

While All In was a tremendous spectacle, All Out was the better professional wrestling event.

All Out was a last-minute purchase in the Ringside Logic household. In fact, it was ordered 10 minutes into the show as the pre-show was as uninspired as the build-up to the show.

It was going to be an early night until the sudden urge of “Why not” took control of my hand and pressed the order button on the remote control.

AEW Fires CM Punk with Cause

The odyssey of CM Punk in All Elite Wrestling ended where it began in Chicago.

AEW has terminated CM Punk’s contract following a week-long investigation over a backstage incident with Jack Perry at last weekend’s All In pay-per-view.

AEW released a statement Saturday afternoon.

CM Punk and Jack Perry had an altercation shortly before Punk’s match with Samoa Joe at All In at Wembley Stadium last Saturday.

Reportedly, the altercation occurred over a comment Perry made during his match with Hook on the All In Pre Show. A spot involving a limo saw Perry slap his hand on the windshield and shout, “It’s real glass. Go cry me a river!”

AEW: New Title, Same Ol’ Stuff

Tony Khan announced Wednesday on Dynamite that AEW has “leveled up” the All-Atlantic Championship, and it’s now the AEW International Championship. Orange Cassidy will make the title’s inaugural defense against Jeff Jarrett next week on Dynamite when AEW debuts in Winnipeg.

Nine months ago, the All-Atlantic Championship was created to represent AEW fans in the United Kingdom. AEW touts they are the #1 wrestling promotion in the UK via their presence on television.

Plus, the British Isles are bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. In a nutshell, it was AEW’s way of creating a UK Title without calling it the UK Title.

However, the physical belt had a geographical error. Japan, which resides in the pacific ocean, is one of six countries represented on the title’s main center plate.

The current design of the title will remain intact. Simply the wording is changed from All Atlantic to International.

Action Andretti Stuns Chris Jericho in Major Upset

You read the headline, and you’re wondering who the heck is Action Andretti. Is he a famous wrestler from a different promotion using a new name? Is he a hot prospect on the independent wrestling scene? Is he related to the famous race car driver?

None of the above. So, how did we get here?

Is ROH Bluffing with HonorClub Relaunch?

A gambler once said you got to know when to hold’em, know when to fold’em, and know when to walk away. Tony Khan’s bid to land a television deal for Ring of Honor (ROH) nine months after purchasing the company yielded an uninspired result.

On the heels of Ring of Honor’s Final Battle pay-per-view event on Saturday, Tony Khan announced the promotion’s HonorClub streaming service has officially relaunched with new weekly television episodes coming soon to the platform.

Justice for Larry (CM Punk’s Dog)

The post-All Out backstage brawl is either the most well-booked fight we’ll never see or the most bizarre legit donnybrook of all time.

Reports came out last Friday that AEW is working on a buyout of CM Punk’s contract. Even more reports on Wednesday confirmed The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) were backstage at Dynamite and are returning soon.

But wait, there’s more.

WrestlingInc.com reported on Wednesday that when the door of Punk’s locker room was kicked in, it accidentally hit his dog, Larry, in the mouth. A few days later, at a pre-scheduled vet appointment, an exam revealed two of Larry’s teeth were knocked loose and had to be removed.

Larry’s role in the Labor Day weekend brawl has seemingly evolved every few weeks. At first, Ace Steel’s girlfriend was watching Larry. Then, Kenny Omega moved Larry to get him out of harm’s way, only to get bit by Ace Steel. Now, his teeth were knocked loose.

But wait, there’s even more.

Give MJF and William Regal an Emmy

The unspoken tension between MJF and William Regal came to a head on AEW’s ‘Title Tuesday’ edition of Dynamite.

MJF wasted no time interrupting Regal’s interview with Tony Schiavone and ensured the Blackpool resident he didn’t come to fight but to tell a story.

Chris Jericho’s Ring of Dishonor

A shroud of dishonor enveloped the ROH Championship when Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli at Grand Slam to capture the title. Last Wednesday, Jericho kicked off his 8th world title reign with a successful title defense over former ROH Champion Bandido.

It was a fantastic main event that prompted AEW to immediately offer Bandido a full-time contract. However, the show ended with a despicable decree.

Jericho announced the “Ring of Jericho” mission statement. Simply put, he will desecrate the legacy of ROH by beating every former champion, commentator, referee, and ring announcer.
