I wouldn’t have believed it unless I saw it with my own two eyes. Earlier this week, Ringside Collectibles dropped a pre-order for an Owen Hart: King of Harts Supreme figure from the AEW Jazwares line. If the King of Harts moniker rings a bell, that was Owen’s nickname when he won the 1994 King of the Ring tournament. The right folks. AEW and Jazwares found a way to produce and sell a WWE version of an Owen Hart action figure.

But wait, there’s more.

Jazwares Vault will soon also put up an Owen Hart figure for pre-order, representing his time in WWE.

The Jazwares Vault figure will feature Owen in the pink singlet he wore when he won the King of the Ring tournament and comes with a crown.

The Ringside Collectibles version features the pink-and-black singlet most people associate with Owen Hart, priced at $49.99 and due out in December 2026.

AEW released three Owen Hart figures in 2022 from his time wrestling for his family’s Calgary-based promotion, Stampede Wrestling. A wide-release red tights figure, a chase variant in blue tights, and a Ringside Collectibles exclusive in black tights with a matching ring jacket. All three came with a silver title belt reminiscent of the Stampede Wrestling North American championship.

All three of the Owen figures in the AEW line were released in conjunction with The Owen Hart Foundation, founded by Martha in Owen’s memory. 

The question on many collectors’ minds is: how did AEW/Jazwares pull this off? Did the manufacturer exploit a certain percentage threshold of resemblance to Owen’s WWE look? Did WWE simply allow it to happen since Martha was never going to give them her blessing? WWE is within its right to release an Owen Hart figure, but Owen’s widow, Dr. Martha Hart, has vehemently protested the company releasing any merchandise of her late husband. Besides the Owen Hart of Gold DVD released in 2015, WWE has largely respected the family’s wishes.

There is some information on Reddit reporting that AEW now owns the trademark to the “King of Harts’ name. Also, the Hart and skull leather jacket he wore to the ring says “Owen Hart Foundation” instead of “Hart Foundation,” as it did in WWE, which might have helped make this figure a reality.

It’s possible that WWE will retaliate and release their own version of an Owen Hart figure. AEW figures scale at 7 inches, which is one inch bigger than Mattel’s WWE line. Those who would prefer an Owen figure that is shorter in height than a figure of his brother Bret Hart would gladly snatch it up for the sake of accuracy. 

Jazwares is set to lose the AEW toy license at the end of the year. The Owen Hart figures, along with several new AEW and ROH figures are scheduled for a December release, which has led some to speculate that Jazwares might retain the license into 2027.

A pink and black Owen Hart is the definition of an action figure wrestling fans believed we would never get. Whether Owen Hart is the final figure released in 2026 or the grand finale of the line, Jazwares definitely saved the best for last.
