Chris Jericho’s Ring of Dishonor

A shroud of dishonor enveloped the ROH Championship when Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli at Grand Slam to capture the title. Last Wednesday, Jericho kicked off his 8th world title reign with a successful title defense over former ROH Champion Bandido.

It was a fantastic main event that prompted AEW to immediately offer Bandido a full-time contract. However, the show ended with a despicable decree.

Jericho announced the “Ring of Jericho” mission statement. Simply put, he will desecrate the legacy of ROH by beating every former champion, commentator, referee, and ring announcer.

Star Wars Takes Its First Steps Into a Larger World With Andor.

The five-year-old me who saw A New Hope for the first time would find Andor an incredibly boring show. The 40-year-old me who saw Andor for the first time is thoroughly impressed with the latest Disney + offering from a galaxy far, far away.

Andor is set five years before the events of Rogue One and welcomes back the film’s creative architect, Tony Gilroy, who masterfully has the Empire loom over everything despite being completely absent from the first three episodes.

Examing Roman Reigns vs. Logan Paul

Roman Reigns’ next title defense has been set for Crown Jewel on November 5th in Saudi Arabia. WWE confirmed on Saturday at a press conference in Las Vegas that social media sensation Logan Paul will challenge Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship.

Several websites reported the match on Friday going into SmackDown, where Paul announced the press conference while teasing he would challenge Reigns.

Roman Reigns defeated Drew McIntyre in his last title defense at Clash at the Castle. Logan Paul was victorious at SummerSlam over The Miz in his second pro wrestling match.

Paul was impressive in his in-ring outings, while Reigns has held both the WWE Title and Universal Title since WrestleMania 38. However, the eyes of the internet wrestling community (IWC) are looking at this mainstream fare with daggers on both sides of the coin.

The backlash is strong with this one.

WWE Clash at the Castle Results – 9/3/22

WWE held the first premium live event in the UK in 30 years as Clash at the Castle emanated from Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Drew McIntyre challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Title headlined the event along with a highly anticipated Intercontinental title showdown between Gunther and Sheamus.

Hart vs. Bulldog: A Reminiscent Tale

Wednesday was the 30th anniversary of the legendary Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog match from Wembley Stadium. It was also my Birthday. I’ve written about this match hundreds of times; however, there is no clear-cut reason why I’m writing about it this time.

WWE SummerSlam 2022 (Review)

Paul Levesque’s body of work in NXT suggested his creative style was more pro wrestling than sports entertainment. That couldn’t have been further from the truth, as he struck the perfect balance on Saturday to produce a SummerSlam for the ages.

Roman Reigns closing out the show #AndStill champion could signify the shroud of Vince McMahon looming over the new era of WWE. One could be forgiven for conjuring such an idea. After all, wrestling has embedded the art of “the worfans’ minds of fans everywhere.

Bianca Belair’s victory over Becky Lynch, followed by Bayley’s reemergence along with Io Shirai and Dakota Kai’s introduction to the main roster, set a pronounced pace and tone to open the show.

It was a statement that things are going to be different.

Quick WWE SummerSlam 2022 Predictions

The multiverse of madness shifted tonight’s SummerSlam to the end of July instead of its usual spot on the calendar at the end of August. Nissan Stadium in Nashville is the site of what was just another edition of WWE’s “biggest party of the summer.” Now it will be the company’s first major event without Vince McMahon.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque is officially the head of creative, and we’ll see how he plays the game with our viewing pleasure. Do you see what I did there? “How well he plays the game?” Because he’s called “The Ga….”

Logan Paul Signs with WWE. Will it Work?

Social Media influencer Logan Paul is the latest celebrity to throw in with WWE.

Paul announced Thursday afternoon on his various social media platforms that he’s signed with WWE and shared a picture taken with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WWE Headquarters.

Ariel Helwani reported that Paul signed a multi-year deal that calls for the celebrity boxer to work an undisclosed number of premium live events (pay-per-view) in 2022 and 2023. This news comes after Paul confirmed he was training for an in-ring return to wrestling.
