A title match is the latest addition to WrestleMania 37. Matt Riddle defends the United States Championship against Sheamus. Also, the match between Bruan Strowman and Shane McMahon is now a Steel Cage Match.
Over the last five months, Matt Riddle and Sheamus have had three excellent matches against each other. Last night on Raw, Sheamus defeated Riddle in a non-title match after a low blow. This win punched Sheamus’ WrestleMania ticket to challenge Riddle for the U.S. Title on Night 2.
If Sheamus and Riddle are given enough time in their match, they will steal the show. Check on their three Raw matches on 10/26/20, 11/23/20, and 3/29/21 as a primer of what will hopefully be a memorable encounter.
After weeks of bullying and running away, Bruan Strowman chose a Steel Cage Match as the stipulation for battle with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania. The idea behind the cage is so Shane will have nowhere to run and hide, allowing the “Monster Among Men” to do his thing.
Honestly, I’m checked out of this feud. This feud materialized out of nowhere several weeks ago, and its only purpose is to have another memorable Shane McMahon WrestleMania bump. Shane didn’t even sell the fear of such a stipulation when it was announced. Instead, he smiled at the notion of being trapped in a cage with the colossal Strowman.
