Andrade Denied Request For WWE Release

Earlier today, Wrestling Inc reported that Andrade requested his release from WWE on Monday during Raw. I had a post all ready to go highlighting the possibilities of Andrade’s potential post-WWE career. Right before slapping the publish button, F4W.com confirmed the promotion denied his request.

Despite the shifting narrative, there is one primary symptom that influenced today’s events.

Christian is All Elite, But Not A Game Changer

The hype going into Revolution on Sunday was that a hall of fame-worthy, game-changing wrestler was signing with AEW. Christian ended up being the mystery signee and will use the name Christian Cage going forward. The 47-year-old star signed with the promotion one month after a well-received surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble. Reportedly, Christian was either close to or already signed a contract with WWE.

While many feel Christian is a hall of fame-worthy talent, being a game-changer, on the other hand, doesn’t track.

Revolution Ends With A Dud

All Elite Wrestling’s first pay-per-view of the year, Revolution, started strong, then fizzled for a bit and picked back up with a fantastic main event. Kenny Omega defended the AEW World Championship against former champion Jon Moxley in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match. Both wrestlers worked extremely hard and told an edge of your seat story, making great use of the environment. Sadly, like a great movie with a bad ending, the only thing people will remember about the match is the dud of a finish.

Shaq Delivers Big On Dynamite

Shaq was in full effect last night on AEW Dynamite as the Hall of Fame center teamed with newcomer Jade Cargill and defeated Red Velvet and Cody Rhodes in a mixed tag team match. It was wild. It was crazy. It was much better than expected.

Did you know that Shaq is wrestling tonight? Yes, that’s right. NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is wrestling in a mixed tag team match on AEW Dynamite. Bobby Lashley Wins The WWE Championship

Last night on Raw, Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career, becoming the third African-American wrestler to hold the title. Lashley defeated The Miz in the main event, culminating in a show-long storyline where Miz desperately tried to get out of the match.

NJPW Unifying IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Titles

The IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles will be unified and officially recognized as the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. News of the merger was announced at a press conference earlier today when NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi said New Japan has decided to uphold the request of the champion and unification will bring the linage of both titles forward under a new banner.

Welcome To Ringside Logic!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are safe and healthy. 2021 is all about change, and I’ve decided to make a change to this site.

Writing is a passion of mine.

I’ve participated in workshops, seminars, mentorships, and various courses to improve as a writer. While on this journey, one piece of advice kept coming up and was hard to ignore.

If you want to write and grow your readership, focus on one topic.

It is hard to grow a website’s readership if you’re coving multiple genres. People who enjoy my wrestling content will get frustrated if my next five posts are about movies or comic books.

Major websites such as IGN effectively cover different genres due to their immense worldwide following, financial resources, and access. That said, I’ve decided to shift the focus of the site exclusively to professional wrestling.

They say to do what you know, and I know wrestling. My life-long fandom and experience as a wrestler and promoter help me bring an informed opinion about the industry.

As you probably noticed, I made some cosmetic changes to the site, with some more to follow.

MMA, comic books, and movies, are genres that have shaped my life, but I’m still going to write the occasional Star Wars review.

I’m eternally grateful to everyone who has read anything I’ve written on my little corner of the internet. I hope you’ll join me as I get ready to impart a little Ringside Logic to the masses.

Cesaro & Nakamura’s New Role In WWE

According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE told Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro their new roles are now to make new stars. This direction effectively erases any chance of either wrestler finding residency in the main event scene.

Nia Jax “My Hole” Goes Viral to My Inbox… at Work.

Nia Jax lost to Lana in a Tables Match last night on Raw and hurt her “hole” in the process.

Following a missed leg drop on the apron, Nia oversold it and screamed out, “AHHHHHH! My Butt! My Hole!” in a moment that has gone viral on social media.
