Bill Goldberg is a guest on the latest episode of Uncut with Jay Cutler. Goldberg sits down with the former NFL QB and discusses college football conference realignment, NIL deals for college athletes, as they both have mixed emotions on the topic, transitioning from football to pro wrestling, where he succeeded and failed in building his character, and who ruled the roost in the WCW days.

“Football was my thing, and I was embarrassed to go out and be a wrestler.”

Nearly 5 hours of AEW’s brand of professional wrestling on Sunday culminated with CM Punk pinning “Hangman” Adam Page to become the fifth AEW World Champion. AEW Double or Nothing emanated from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with a 13-match card.
It was a show of peaks and valleys with a hot opening, some less than stellar stuff in the middle, and a solid second half to celebrate All Elite Wrestling’s third anniversary. And, of course, it wouldn’t be an AEW PPV without a few new additions to the roster.

Unless I’m covering Impact Wrestling at Gerweck.net, I generally don’t watch Impact events live or hardly at all. However, the main event between Josh Alexander and Tomohiro Ishii colored me excited! I put my money down for Under Siege and enjoyed an impeccable event worth more than the price of admission.

WrestleMania 38 Night 2 kicked off with an unexpected appearance by Triple H, who came to the ring, did his classic water spit, and left his wrestling boots in the middle of the ring, signifying his retirement from the squared circle. While H officially two weeks ago, it was on ESPN +. It was fitting for him to have one more meaningful appearance in front of a contemporary WWE crowd that he helped cultivate.

IMPACT Wrestling – 3/31/22: South Philadelphia, PA @ ECW Arena
-The video of Moose spearing Josh Alexander’s wife at Destiney Wrestling over the weekend opens the show. Impact President Scott D’Amore meets Alexander and informs him that Moose is not in the building. D’Amore says the committee is meeting to discuss stripping Moose of the Impact World Championship.
D’Amore says he knows how Alexander feels because he’s known his wife longer than him. Alexander pushes D’Amore against the wall and says he has no idea how he feels and objects to Impact stripping Moose of the title because he needs to be the one to beat him for it.

The road to WrestleMania officially kicked off on Saturday night with the Royal Rumble from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis.
Lots of excitement going into the event not only because it’s the freaking Royal Rumble, but there was no clear front runner on who would win the Rumble matches, like in years past.
However, rumors during the week gave away the finish to the women’s Rumble, while the fate of the men’s Rumble became evident a couple of hours into the show.
It’s time for Ringside Logic to bestow our “Best of the Year” honors. 2021 will go down as an unforgettable year in professional wrestling for both good and bad reasons. Let’s focus on the good aspects of the industry, which consisted of action-packed matches, wild angles, and paradigm-shifting events in and out of the ring.
