Seth Rollins was the catalyst for the heel turn heard round the world on Monday night. The Shield’s domination of Evolution at WWE Payback was their Mount Everest. As a trio, there was nowhere else to go but down. Divorce was inevitable, and Rollins served the papers via a steel chair to the back. The hounds of justice are presumably no more and the end result begs the question; was Seth Rollins the right guy to break up the band. Yes, he was.
I really enjoyed Raw on Monday. Online chatter suggests the show was a failure and didn’t get them excited for Extreme Rules this Sunday. I saw something different. Yes, there were some things that made me scratch my head in confusion, but overall, it was a strong episode where the writing team has appeared to have gone outside of their wheelhouse and try different things. The Elimination Chamber was the last major stop on the road to WrestleMania and it left a mixed bag of results with the good heavily outweighing the mediocre. This also marks the end of the traditional PPV era as future shows will air on the WWE Network. I think it’s fitting that it went out with a good main event and great hope for the future. This writing thing has been a passion of mine for a long as I can remember. It didn’t dawn on me until a couple of years ago that I should start my on blog and try to get my name there through different outlets.
I was flatter and humbled when Get Real Wrestling.com invited me to be a part of their team and get paid to write. It’s the first time someone has asked me to write for them instead of the other way around so that must mean I’m doing something right.
