We’re three weeks away from WrestleMania 37, and the bulk of the two-night card is announced. Six matches are set for April 10 and April 11, while two matches haven’t been assigned a date yet. Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL, will allow up to 25,000 in-person fans for each night. All tickets are expected to sell out before the event.
Night 1 – April 10
WWE Championship: Bobby Lashley cost Drew McIntyre the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber, allowing The Miz to cash in the Money in the Bank contract. Eight days later, Lashley dominated Miz to become the champion. McIntyre won a handicap match on Raw this past Monday, which stipulates Hurt Business members Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander are banned from ringside at WrestleMania.
SmackDown Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair won the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble to earn a championship match. Sasha Banks has been trying to one-up Belair in recent weeks, leading to their failed attempt at the Women’s Tag Team Titles at Fastlane. After the match, Banks told Belair, “You’re the rookie,” and slapped her in the face.
Bad Bunny vs. The Miz: It wouldn’t be WrestleMania without some celebrity involvement. That role this year is filled by Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bad Bunny. The rap superstar got WWE’s attention after releasing his hit single, “Booker T,” inspired by the wrestler of the same name. Bad Bunny and The Miz have had run-ins with each other for weeks. On Raw, Miz challenged Bad Bunny to a match at WrestleMania, and Bad Bunny accepted by smashing a guitar across his back.
Night 2 – April 11
WWE Universal Championship – Roman Reigns vs. Edge: Edge won the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble and chose Reigns as his opponent at Elimination Chamber. Edge turned heel at Fastlane by hitting Reigns and Daniel Bryan with a chair while serving as the special guest enforcer for their match. Reports surfaced online stating Daniel Bryan will be added to the match, making it a Triple Threat encounter.
Raw Women’s Championship – Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley: NXT standout Rhea Ripley made her main roster debut on Raw this past Monday and immediately challenged Asuka for the title. Of course, the champ happily obliged.
Randy Orton vs. The Fiend: Orton: This match has been in the making since last December when Orton burned The Fiend. Alexa Bliss has attempted to take out Orton ever since. The Fiend returned at Fastlane, and at the end Raw, caught Orton with Mandible Claw and Sister Abigail.
Raw Tag Team Championship – The New Day vs. AJ Styles & Omos: Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods just won the belts for the 11th time. However, this match’s hook is all about AJ Styles’ colossal bodyguard’s in-ring debut, Omos.
Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon: Strowman challenged Shane McMahon after weeks of torment and being called stupid. McMahon not only accepted the match, but he’s allowing Strowman to pick the stipulation.
Several more matches are rumored to occur at “The Granddaddy Of Them All,” including the traditional Men’s and Women’s Battle Royal. WrestleMania 37 streams live on April 10 and April 11, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT exclusively on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.
