WWE and TNA: A Game-Changing Wrestling Partnership

What started as a friendly talent exchange has blossomed into a full-on partnership. WWE and TNA Wrestling announced a multi-year partnership. The arrangement will see TNA talent appear on WWE programming and vice versa.

Both promotions set clear boundaries before this arrangement came together. They avoided the word “partnership” during their talent exchange last summer, which saw TNA star Joe Hendry challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Championship.

TNA has formed partnerships with various promotions over the years, but this is an unprecedented move for WWE. Vince McMahon looked at such moves as a fruitless endeavor. WWE is the industry titan and everyone else is fighting for a second place.

Triple H embraces the industry as a whole and understands the value of compelling crossover content. This partnership comes at an interesting time. Several TNA stars exited the promotion in December. Reports suggest that more stars are likely to follow.

One of those stars is Jordynne Grace. The former multi-time Knockouts Champion signed with WWE after finishing up with TNA at their Genesis pay-per-view. 2024 saw Grace make a memorable appearance in the Women’s Royal Rumble match and NXT.

Grace working for the E is the tip of the iceberg for talent crossovers and relocations.

Impact Bound for Glory 2022 (Review)

Impact held its grand gala of professional wrestling on Friday as Bound for Glory emanated from the Albany Armory in Albany, New York. The eight-match delicacy with a Hall of Fame garnish had no fat on the bone. Every course was good to great, including some pleasant surprises.

IMPACT Wrestling Results – 3/24/21: Philadelphia Street Fight

Photo: Impact Wrestling

The show opens with Josh Alexander making a b-line for the Impact Zone. Alexander is furious over Moose going to his home last week. Alexander said he thought he knew everything Moose is capable of and said Moose crossed a line that you don’t cross with his family.

Alexander said as a wrestler, he’s more motivated than ever, but as a husband, he’s going to issue pain like never before and take the one thing in the world Moose cares about, the world championship. Alexander called out Moose.

Moose says Alexander will fail at Rebellion, and he will show his son Chet what an actual role model looks like. That’s all Alexander needed to hear as he jumped out of the ring and attacked Moose. The brawl goes backstage and up to the old eagle’s nest in the ECW Arena. Many wrestlers break it up before both men fall over the balcony, and Moose retreats.

Wrestling Soap Box: Cena, Kane, Jericho & more!

Welcome to the first installment of my Wrestling Soap Box where I will rant, rave, analyze and make bold predictions on the latest happenings in “sports entertainment”.

– If anyone wanted the blue print on how to make the worst horror movie ever than watch this weeks episode of Raw. Kane played the role of Jason Voorhees while  Zack Ryder and Eve Torres played the innocent victims being chased through the woods. They ran from him all episode and found shelter in Ryder’s rental car, only to discover that a tire was slashed. Did they run? No. Did they try to find another car? Nope. Did they call the police using Ryder’s cell phone that he was Tweeting all night from? Oops, I wasn’t supposed to notice that…….and no. Ryder tried to change the tire while Eve hid in the car while screaming in fright. I’m sorry but if I was Eve I would have bounced a long time ago.

Changing Names won’t IMPACT TNA’s Product

by Ryan Andrews

As of May 12th, TNA will become Impact Wrestling. Apparently, the higher-ups think that a rebranding will breathe new life into their product and attract wrestling fans that feel WWE is moving away from its core product by shortening their name (and in doing so, dropping the word “Wrestling”). Unfortunately for TNA, I feel that their product will remain the same thanks to their writers (specifically Vince Russo), their ignorant-to-the-business-owner (Dixie Carter), and of course their over-the-hill your-prime-ENDED-over-a-decade-ago talents (starting with Hulk Hogan, and of course the list could go on forever).
