https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5Q6REv1Fhs

Frank Dee and I reviewed last night’s WWE Money in the Bank, which emanated from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. There were three championship matches, one MITB ladder match, AJ Styles vs. John Cena and a new WWE champion was crowned.

Camp WWE Review

campwwe

Camp WWE is the newest original program from the WWE Network. This animated series breaks from the norms of the current PG environment with a TV-MA rating that is chock-full vulgarity and laced with all sorts of crude overtones. Think South Park or Robot Chicken as your inner wrestling fan indulges in the obscene with most of your favorite WWE superstars as children.  Continue reading “Camp WWE Review”

WWE WrestleMania 32 Review

wm32divas
Sorry for the late WrestleMania review. I was a little under the weather this past week. I also needed time to process this event. It wasn’t a bad show by any means, however, it also wasn’t the grand slam event that it could have been. Besides the super-hyped and unexpected return of Shane McMahon, the show had a lackluster build up over the past five weeks. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas was the setting for this year’s lineup of 11 matches, all with the design to break WWE’s all-time attendance record.

John Cena Returning Soon?

Earlier this week, John Cena sent out a cryptic tweet suggesting that he might return to WWE earlier than expected. Check out my report at the official YouTube channel of Gerweck.net

Raw Ratings Suffer Despite Star Studded Lineup

austin

WWE brought out the big guns this week in order to prevent what could have been a historically bad rating for Monday Night Raw. While the ratings did improve from last week’s record low number of 3.27 million viewers, it was only a slight increase to 3.35 million viewers. Even with the combined competition they faced, WWE can’t be happy with an increase of only 80,000 viewers considering the big names they had on the show.  Continue reading “Raw Ratings Suffer Despite Star Studded Lineup”

Cesaro is Mid-Card 4-Life

Cesaro

I’m back after taking a long and overdue vacation where my wife and I put our phones on airplane mode and were unplugged from the real world. Now that I’ve caught up on all of the wrestling news, it seems that Cesaro is getting a lot of praise for his stellar matches with John Cena on Monday Night Raw.

Cesaro is truly one of the most talented wrestlers on the planet today.

He can have a good match with anyone and often has a great match with most. Due to Cesaro’s performance over the last three weeks, die-hard fans are waiting with bated breath and both fingers crossed, hoping this will be the time that WWE finally pushes the ‘Swiss Superman’ as the main event player he deserves to be.

Unfortunately, this shall not come to pass.

The WWE Debut of Kevin Owens

What appeared to be another U.S. open challenge suddenly turned into a much more exciting affair as the guitar riffs of the CFO$ song, “Fight”, coursed through the sound system of the Richmond Coliseum. For some, it was an audible invasion of the unknown. For others, it was familiarity at its finest as Kevin Owens unexpectedly emerged on Monday Night Raw.  Continue reading “The WWE Debut of Kevin Owens”

Raw Is In-Zayn

The Montréal faithful were loud in their disapproval of John Cena as they sang “John Cena sucks” to the tune of his entrance music. The U.S. open challenge was laid out on foreign soil as chants of “Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole,” filled the Bell Centre, foreshadowing a pending arrival. Much to everyone’s surprise, the legendary Bret Hart came out to introduce “a great wrestler.” The people slid to the edge of their seats with baited breath as Sami Zayn emerged from behind the curtain. WrestleMania 31 Recap

greene

The thirty-first installment of WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, took place at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California in front of a reported capacity crowd of 76,976. There were several big storylines going into this event.

Would this be Sting’s first, and last, WWE match? Could The Undertaker return to glory after his big loss last year? Would the fans reject the company’s new heir apparent, Roman Reigns, on the grandest stage?
Will John Cena stop the mad Russian and bring the U.S. title back to the states?
