WTF Is Wrong With You TNA???

I try not to be one of those people who constantly bash TNA but their booking is at the height of idicoracy. Last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling was built around Sting trying to convince Dixie Carter to hire Hulk Hogan back to run the company. Sting must be suffering from Alzheimer’s and Dixie Carter must have the worst case of short term memory in human history. Why would remotely you consider having Hulk Hogan run your company after the year he just put you through? Oh, you don’t remember? Let’s take a stroll down memory lane, shall we?

The Undertaker Returns, Mike Tyson, John Cena and TNA Impact

– John Cena is getting closer and closer to embracing the hate as he and Kane will wrestle in a “Last Man Standing Match” at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View on 2/19. The male audience has been disillusioned with Cena for years. This story line has made him more aggressive which is essential in order to engage fans going into his feud with The Rock at Wrestlemania. The WWE has done a fantastic job with getting people to start caring about Cena vs. Rock instead of just caring about a Rock match at Mania.

Wrestling Soap Box: Cena, Kane, Jericho & more!

Welcome to the first installment of my Wrestling Soap Box where I will rant, rave, analyze and make bold predictions on the latest happenings in “sports entertainment”.

– If anyone wanted the blue print on how to make the worst horror movie ever than watch this weeks episode of Raw. Kane played the role of Jason Voorhees while  Zack Ryder and Eve Torres played the innocent victims being chased through the woods. They ran from him all episode and found shelter in Ryder’s rental car, only to discover that a tire was slashed. Did they run? No. Did they try to find another car? Nope. Did they call the police using Ryder’s cell phone that he was Tweeting all night from? Oops, I wasn’t supposed to notice that…….and no. Ryder tried to change the tire while Eve hid in the car while screaming in fright. I’m sorry but if I was Eve I would have bounced a long time ago.

All Guts & No Glory For Roode.

Austin wins WWF belt at Wrestlemania 14

Remember when Stone Cold Steve Austin went over on Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 14? I remember because I was at the Fleetcenter that night. Wrestling fans all over the world rejoiced because the Austin 3:16 era had arrived. Now, imagine if Shawn Michaels had won that match and Austin pinned Shawn in the rematch at the following months Unforgiven pay-per-view? Can’t picture it? Well, let me paint it for you. The revitalization that occurred in professional wrestling because of the Attitude era would have never materialized.

Is Bobby Roode Bound for Glory?

(Posted on Gerweck.net)

This Sunday, Bobby Roode will headline TNA’s signature event, Bound for Glory. He is set to face Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight title in what will be the most important match of his career. This is also one of the most important matches in the history of TNA because they have a rare opportunity to create a new star within the industry.

In Hulk Hogan we Trust !?

I talk to a lot of casual wrestling fans. They watch TNA and get excited when they see the Hulkster on their screen. Once they listen and realize he is a heel who is trying to run the company for his personal gain, they change the channel. Hulk Hogan as a heel is not entertaining television in 2011.

The NWO days of 1996 are long gone. Hulk Hogan is way into the twilight of his career. At 57 years old, he can barely move and wears a back brace. If you saw him on American Idol, he could barely throw a punch. The majority of TNA’s fans are “smart” fans. They know all of this and will have zero faith in a Hogan vs. Sting program, which seems to be the direction they are going in.

Hulkamania has arrived in TNA !?!?

It’s official folks. Hulk Hogan has signed with TNA wrestling and will be invading your television screens on Thursday nights. This, without question, is the one move TNA needed to make an attempt at becoming a serious player. Hogan is the biggest name in the history of the business. He is the first name people think of when they hear the term “professional wrestling”. TNA wrestling over time has developed into a not so quality product. I know there are some hardcore TNA fans that love the product with a passion. Some have even told me their pay-per-views are “equal to Wrestlemania in every PPV”. TNA has some of the best wrestlers in the world but their booking is awful. I compare it to SNL. They have some great talent on their cast. But the show hasn’t been funny in years.
